After a small drop, my Evolve GTR remote looked as if it was connected to the board but the accelerator did nothing.
I tried trigger resets with no result.
I took the remote apart and found a tiny magnet had come out of the brake trigger. Slotting it back into place fixed the remote.

*NOTE: I take the remote apart, which probably voids warranty! This may not be advisable. But if you're like me and like fixing things rather than waiting for someone else to do it or paying for a new one then this might be worth a try!
