My wife and I spent the week in Cosby, TN at Roamstead Campground. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins, but they had other options available including: areas for tent camping, RV sites, an Airstream RV you could rent, Yurts (which were new to me), rooms over the main office, and 1 larger cabin available for rent. They have a small gifts shop and restaurant inside that serves some breakfast items, pizza, milkshakes, and even a few cocktails. There is a swimming pool, pavilion area with a woodburning fireplace and projector for movies, 2 propane firepits, a community bathroom/shower area, laundry room, and much more. The office is open from 8am-8pm Sunday-Thursday and 8am-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They offer free coffee and cereal in the mornings. There are several restaurants and shops nearby. Some of our favorites were Our Place Bookstore & Antiques, the Barista's Daughter (coffee shop inside the laundry mat), Greenbrier Grocery, and Doc's 321 Cafe. There are several hiking trails nearby including Maddron Bald (directly next to the campground), Ramsey Cascades, and Potters Creek Trail. If you want a relaxing visit to the Smokies outside the hustle and bustle of Gatlingburg, I would highly recommend staying here.
