2022 TF - CIF-ss MASTERS - 200 Meters (Girls)

This is the Girls 200 Meters from the 2022 CIF-ss (Southern Section) Masters Track & Field meet, held at Moorpark High School (CA) on May 21, 2022. The Masters meet brings together the top athletes across all four CIF-ss divisions to determine qualifiers for the CIF State meet.

Running in lane 7, Currie was in a homestretch battle with Washington. Never let up and took the Southern Section crown. A tailwind helped her to a PR for all conditions. Looks like she transferred to Quartz Hill for her senior year. Her best in 2023 (with a 2.7 wind) is 23.8 at SAC. Washington, out of lane 5, gave her a good challenge down the stretch. She also PR'd (AC). Also won the 100 that day. Not a lot of races under her belt in 2023. Luckey, in lane 4, won the 400 earlier in the day and still was able to PR (AC) in this one. Luckey has been very active this year so she should come into the championships ready to go. And then we have Brazil Neal. Out of lane 3, she is within a whisper of PR in this one but she was just saving that for State. She is the State Champion in the 200. Neal has also been active this year with a wind-legal 23.82 at league finals last week.

Southern Section girls dominated State, going 1-3-4-5-6. Most are back for 2023. Exciting year for the 200.
