LET'S BUILD | Mika Häkkinens McLaren Mercedes MP4-12 | REVELL 07023

Hello there,
in this video i´m building the McLaren Mercedes MP4-12 which was driven by Mika Hakkinen in the 1997 F1 season in a 1:24 scale.
This is the first time that the Team used a silver and black livery instead of the iconic red and white Marlboro Livery due to the new sponsorship with west.
Special about this car was the invention of the brake steer system. A second brake pedal could be used by the drivers to eliminate understeer and reduce wheelspin when exiting slow corners. After protests from Ferrari the FIA banned this system in the following year.

Again i had a lot of fun with this project. Despite the fact that my non existend experience with clear coating led to the destruction of a lot of decals on the car. The result is ok and but i definitely have a lot to learn.
