Best Ambient Synth Shootout

Well, this time it's a bit outside the competition;-) Because I used a Bastl Instruments MicroGranny 2 (a 8-bit, mono sampler with some of my own sampled sounds) and a massive assistance of some FX pedals to generate a low-fi, glitchy, outer-space, dark ambient song.

I used it together with the following FX pedals:
TC Electronic T2, Digitech Obscura, Alesis Philtre, Alesis Ampliton and for one audio track in addition a Boss SL-20 Slicer.

The signal goes via a small Behringer mixer straight into the pc.

To create the complete song I recorded overall 5 stereo audio tracks, each mainly played live as it can be seen in the video. The final song was then mastered with just a bit EQ and compression on some tracks.

BTW, don't get irritated by the video. It was taken during one of the 5 audio recordings, so it's a bit difficult to follow. And I had some difficulties to keep it really in sync with the audio. Sorry for that :-(

Well, I decided to go back to the basics, but at the same time make something useful for the synth community and do a kind of competition (I like competitions;-). What's my best synth for ambient music, but this one is out of competition :-)
