Episode 75: Piece in a Day Corner 2 Corner Scrappy Potato Chip Pattern

This quilt top is made using 2.5" x 4.5" potato chip format strips and squares (yes "potato chips" can be used in place of squares).

The quilt top is made horizontally and just like magic transforms into an on point design. the ope- please follow along to see how this magically goes from a vertical to square block. Do not worry, easy to add decorative borders to alter the size. Watch to the end for examples of different sizes to try.
So let's get piecing.

Quilt Size Without Borders approximately 34x34" (add or subtract rows or columns to make it your custom size). Totally adaptable to Potato Chip Strips which will yield a smaller quilt.
6 blocks across by 12 blocks down
each block measures 4.5 Unfinished
Top row 1 starts with 6 @ 4.5 x 4.5" low volume (background) blocks
Row 2 use low volume 2.5" x 4.5" joined with high contrast 2.5 x 4.5" to make each block - you will need 6
Row 3 - same as Row 1
Row 4 same as row 2
Alternate as above until you have 12 rows in total (last row will be the same as Row 2)

Small versions (as shown in thumbnail photo)
same as above but use 3 blocks across by 6 rows down

Scrappy version:
Instead of using two like fabrics, mix it up using your scraps, light then dark alternating each block

As mentioned this is adapted from a free pattern found on the Missouri Star Quilt company web site, I have changed the block configurations and block sizes to create a new design.
