Celebrating Our Sixth Anniversary

On Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, we came together with Rev. Cathy Merchant, founder of the Living Interfaith Sanctuary, to celebrate our sixth anniversary as an Interfaith community! We joined in celebration and song as we heard about the challenges and successes that brought us through the past six years – culminating with a very special announcement.

Cathy has worked as an Interfaith activist, community organizer, and Compassionate Listening facilitator since 2008. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Middle East Studies from the University of Washington and a Master of Divinity degree from the Vancouver School of Theology, and is an ordained Interfaith minister. In addition to her work at LIS, Cathy also serves as the Minister of Community Life at Canadian Memorial United Church.
