Описание к видео Episode 54 - Heather earns her personal GOLD Flag traversing the Trent Severn Waterway!

Today’s video covers two days of travel, as we navigate the Trent Severn Waterway and from Clear Lake to Fenelon Falls on our first day, and on to Orillia on a second travel day.
Our first day of travel took us from our anchorage in Clear Lake, through Hells Gate and eventually on to Fenelon Falls where we overnighted on the top side of the lock. We traveled 38 nautical miles today, departing at 8:30 am and arriving on the top side of Fenelon Falls just before 5 pm, making for an 8 ½ hr day.
We completed 5 locks today including Burleigh Falls, Lovesick, Buckhorn, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls.
We were sad to see our friends Paul and Wendy leave after such a brief visit. We have sailed with them as far south as the Tobago Keys and we really enjoy their company! I am sure we will travel with them again soon.
On our second day of travel, we departed from Fenelon Falls at 8:30 am, and arrived into Orillia at just before 6:00 pm that same evening. Our travels on this day were 40.7 nautical miles in 9 ½ hours.
Today, we completed another 7 locks that included the Rosedale Lock, the Kirkfield Lift Lock, followed by a sequence of locks very close together that included Bolsover, Talbot, Portage, Thorah, and finally the Gamebridge lock before entering Lake Simcoe.
We wrapped our long day up with a nice dinner followed by making plans for another early start the next day. Today, Heather was excited to “cross her personal wake” as we entered Lake Simcoe. With Cam having crossed his wake in Belleville, now both of us have crossed our wake. We just need Sea Clef to catch up to us so we can fly the gold flag!
