According to Culture Amp - Belonging is defined as the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity for a member of a certain group or place. It’s the basic fundamental drive to form and maintain lasting, positive, and significant relationships with others [1]. At the workplace, these relationships can be extended to the organization and its values [2] and to the work itself. Furthermore, Deloitte states belonging is about creating an environment that fosters “psychological safety where workers (feel) safe to speak up, make mistakes, and be themselves without fear of punishment or judgment.”
