Yuca al Ajillo (Cassava root with Garlic)

Hi and welcome back! Today I made yuca al ajillo. Yuca in english is Cassava root. I usually find in the frozen section of the supermarket. Or you can buy it fresh in the produce section also.

Here are the ingredients:
2lbs of Yuca or cassava
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup canola oil
2 bay leaves
1/2 white onion, sliced
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper
