👉It is a place of grids and crosstown streets that never seem to quite connect up. With hard-hitters like the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building, the streets of Midtown are also home to the Flatiron Building, Broadway, and Times Square.
👉The road network in Midtown Manhattan is complex. There are one-way streets everywhere, and several streets that are closed to motorized traffic. 👉When you're driving in Midtown Manhattan it's sometimes best to avoid streets altogether and take to the sidewalks (they're technically public). But sidewalks are also full of pedestrians, and people on the move just as quickly and unpredictably as pedestrians on the road.
