Getting a Heading Horse Through a Traditional Rope Barrier

Описание к видео Getting a Heading Horse Through a Traditional Rope Barrier

Trevor Brazile goes to the practice pen to work on taking Sasquatch through a traditional rope barrier after hauling him to a roping and finding out the horse had never been through one. Some horses take to running through the barrier a little quicker than Sasquatch does, but in this video, you'll get to see Trevor work him through it, in what he believes is the safest, most effective way, with the use of nylon flagging tape tied in place by future line judge‪@jesiahzapata96‬, aka Cheech.

Some other takeaways from this video are always scoring the first steer, having your heeler leave the box as if you're going to rope the steer when you're scoring to help simulate real competition runs, the time spent in the box keeping your horse free, and how he keeps his horses calm and comfortable between scores and runs.
