Heavy rain from a thunderstorm caused severe flooding in Culiacán in the Mexican state of Sinaloa on Friday, August 26.
Footage released by the Sinaloa State Public Safety Secretariat shows widespread flash flooding at several locations in the city. Local police help push several cars out of the floodwaters.
Mexico's National Weather Service said the storm will bring heavy rain, lightning, hail and winds up to 70 km/h (43 mph) in Sinaloa and Sonora on Friday evening.
