First of all let me wish you a Happy National Day.

An agreement was reached between the rulers of six of the Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Fujairah and Ajman), and the federation to be known as the United Arab Emirates was formally established on 2 December 1971. A year later in 1972, Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation. Since then 2nd December is celebrated as UAE National Day.

With a strong defense system and an abundance of oil, the United Arab Emirates has become a global force. The rapid transformation has taken less than 50 years. But UAE was not as powerful as it is today.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declared 2021 as ‘The Year of the 50th’ to commemorate 50 years since the nation’s founding in 1971.
