Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) is one of the largest companies in the world, valued at over US$1.6T and up over 378% in the past five years. Microsoft is in many businesses, including Azure, Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio, Github, Windows Sever, Office, Skype, Linkedin, Dynamics, Surface, Xbox, Bing and many more.

In this video, I’ll be discussing about Microsoft. I will first provide a brief introduction about the company, what they do, and how they earn income, then I will analyze the company qualitatively, followed by a quantitative analysis, looking at the company’s financials and valuation. I will then conclude on whether I think the company is a buy at its current price and whether I own any shares in this business myself.

The Productivity and Business Processes segment which offers Office, Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Office 365 Security and Compliance, and Skype for Business, as well as related Client Access Licenses (CAL); LinkedIn and Dynamics

Its Intelligent Cloud segment licenses SQL and Windows Servers, Visual Studio, System Center, and GitHub that provides a collaboration platform and code hosting service for developers; and Azure, a cloud platform. It also provides support services and Microsoft consulting services to assist customers in developing, deploying, and managing Microsoft server and desktop solutions; and training and certification to developers and IT professionals on various Microsoft products.

Its More Personal Computing segment offers Windows OEM licensing and other non-volume licensing of the Windows operating system
It also provides Microsoft Surface, PC accessories, and other devices;
Gaming, including Xbox hardware, and Xbox software and services; video games and third-party video game royalties; and Search, including Bing and Microsoft advertising.
