Godzilla Suite | Millennium Godzilla Era (Original Soundtrack) by Michiru Oshima

The popular and debatedly correct opinion amongst the fanbase is that Akira Ifukube's Godzilla theme is the definitive and best theme for the character. But most fans would argue that Michiru Oshima's Godzilla theme reaches similar levels of iconography for the monster. Used in three of the Millennium era films, Godzilla's theme is always accompanied by large, pounding drums, sounding tribal in Megaguirus, bassy and defeaning in Against Mechagodzilla, and a pronounced mix of both in Tokyo SOS. The theme for the character is a six note motif that's as simple as it is effective and menacing, befitting the villainous and imposing nature of Godzilla in the films. A military march accompanies the Godzilla theme at points too, giving the beast a somewhat militant, intense rhythm to his presence. Arguably the most memorable piece of music from the Millennium era, Oshima's Godzilla theme is one of the highest points of the monster's musical legacy.
