New Pen Day ~ Unboxing

Here's the new, stunning, two-toned gradation Nagasawa PenStyle x Pilot Namkiki Capless Decimo (Vanishing Point) collaboration; I got mine from Vanness.

I love Pilot pens, nibs, and inks, and I especially love the size and feel of the Decimo, and while I am not a grey ink or pen person, I was pretty enamored with this pen, as I always am with Decimo gradation color pens. But by the time I decided to get this pen in this color, it was sold out at the Nagasawa PenStyle pen shop, but amazingly, it became available for sale via authorized vendors in the U.S.

I tried to capture closeups of the color and the gradation, so sometimes the lettering on the pen is upside down in the video.

I forgot to show a closeup of the key engraving on the nib that is only visible when the nib is not inserted into the pen: sorry.

Kobe has many historic landscapes and architecture that remain.

Nagasawa's original fountain pen ink "Kobe INK Monogatari" expresses the scenery of Kobe in color.

The base colors of this fountain pen are two grays selected from Kobe INK Monogatari.

We express the city of Kobe with "#31 Kaigan Stone-gray", which is inspired by stately stone architecture, and "#59 Hirano-gion Romance-gray", which is inspired by historical scenery.

"Kaigan Stone-gray" is a warm gray that makes you feel the splendor of the building, and "Hirano-gion Romance-gray" is a flavorful gray that makes you feel the depth of history.

We have created a fountain pen with an attractive color gradation using two shades of gray, which is suitable for Kobe, a classically modern city where old and new coexist.

Sorry there's no #asmr to speak of because Pilot nibs are silent - the smoothest on earth.
