Das Video entstand während meiner, Jürgen Mayer, ersten Japanreise im Mai 1997. Viele Busreisen, insgesamt 5 Flüge und eine achtstündige Schiffsreise führten durch Südjapan: Osaka, Kumamoto, Beppu, Oita, Kagoshima, den Inseln Tokunoshima und Okinawa, Fukuoka und über Tokio wieder zurück nach Deutschland. Filmaufnahmen zeigen den 90jährigen Shorin-Ryu Großmeister Nagamine fünfeinhalb Monate vor seinem Tod im November 1997. Er kommentiert die Vorführungen seiner Schüler, die alle mit den 6.- 8.DAN graduiert sind. Man sieht Fukyugata und Pinan Kata, Passai, tatsächlich wurde Rohai gezeigt, Wankan, Gojūshiho, die Bo-Kata "Shiromatsu no Kon Ni" und die Nunchaku-Kata Maezato.

The video was made during my, Jürgen Mayer, first trip to Japan in May 1997. Many coach tours, a total of 5 flights, and an eight-hour boat trip through southern Japan: Osaka, Kumamoto, Beppu, Oita, Kagoshima, the islands Tokunoshima and Okinawa, Fukuoka and Tokyo back to Germany.
