In this video I break down the IBJJF Asian Championship and talk about how Rikako Yuasa utilized shin to shin guard, spider, and lasso to sweep her opponent and remain offense and defense at the same time. I also talk about her fluid and floaty guard passing style that is very similar to how a lot of AOJ Black Belts move.

I have studied a lot of footage of Rikako Yuasa and have implemented a lot of her style and technique into my own game. Especially the fluid movement of the guard passing on top. She is yet another reason why I spend just as much time watching female BJJ as male BJJ. Her lasso game should be studied by any and all who want to get better at the position. Maybe one day we will see her back in the competition scene.
