Crime Branch Team Visits CM Kejriwal's Residence for Notice, Following ED Action

The political heat in Delhi escalates as the Crime Branch team arrived at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence early morning to issue a notice. This move comes in the wake of serious allegations leveled by Kejriwal against BJP, accusing them of attempting to buy his party's legislators. Following a complaint filed by the BJP, the Crime Branch initiated an investigation into the matter.

Just yesterday, a similar team from the Crime Branch had visited Kejriwal's residence to serve a notice, marking a continuation of the probe into the alleged conspiracy. The Delhi Education Minister, Atishi, also faced a similar visit from the Crime Branch team in connection with the investigation.

Kejriwal had taken to Twitter to accuse BJP of trying to lure 21 AAP legislators. Meanwhile, Atishi claimed in a press conference that BJP had offered each legislator a bribe of ₹25 crores, backed by audio evidence that would be released at an appropriate time. In response to these allegations, BJP leaders met with Delhi's Police Commissioner, Sanjay Arora, demanding a thorough investigation.

However, yesterday's visit by the Crime Branch team didn't yield results as both Kejriwal and Atishi were reportedly unavailable for the meeting. The officials left without serving the notices, citing Atishi's absence from Delhi.

Sources suggest that while Kejriwal's office was prepared to receive the notices, the police officers left before they could be handed over.

This development comes after the BJP filed a complaint against Kejriwal's allegations, prompting police action and demanding clarity on the accusations. Satish Upadhyay, a BJP spokesperson, emphasized that with the Crime Branch issuing notices to Kejriwal, he should either provide evidence to substantiate his claims or be prepared for legal repercussions.

The unfolding scenario signifies a growing political tension between the BJP and AAP in Delhi, setting the stage for further confrontations and legal proceedings.
