EBPH Webinar 3: Evaluating the Program or Policy

Evidence Based Public Health (EBPH) has become an often used phrase in public health practice. It's meaning and place in development of public health programs can oftentimes be misunderstood. Considering health department staff are charged with developing and implementing programs to keep large populations of people healthy, EBPH uses the best available researched evidence to select, implement and evaluate programs. EBPH is an ongoing process that should be fostered and supported in health departments and part of day-to-day practice. In order to strengthen methods and approach to assist county health departments in practicing EBPH, the Arizona Department of Health Services Healthy People, Healthy Communities IGA Team has created a series of workshops highlighting key areas within the framework of EBPH. This workshop will be one hour and cover the components of evaluating programs, or policies.
