Checking brake fluid with a multimeter

Описание к видео Checking brake fluid with a multimeter

Today's video discusses checking the brake fluid for water contamination using a common multimeter. Please subscribe to the channel for more lessons in caring for your car!

The biggest problem with using brake fluid in our braking system is contamination, and the number one contamination we find is water. Brake fluid holds water up like a sponge! When water mixes with brake fluid, it can create voltage through a GALVANIC REACTION. Measuring the voltage can give us a clue to how much water is in the fluid, and in this video I show you how to do that!

Tools needed are a multimeter that reads millivolts in direct current. I am including videos on testing for copper contamination and how to make your very own self bleeder tool out of household materials.
