Springtime Walk in South Pasadena | Walking in Beautiful Los Angeles Suburb with Historic Homes

Описание к видео Springtime Walk in South Pasadena | Walking in Beautiful Los Angeles Suburb with Historic Homes

Join us and our dog, Summer, for a peaceful walk in beautiful South Pasadena, where we visit filming locations for the movies 'Halloween' and 'Back to the Future!'
Starting on Meridian Avenue, outside the Sugar Mynt Gallery, we walk down to Mission Avenue past the building used as "Michael Myers'" house in the movie "Halloween." Passing the rail tracks of the Gold Line station, we continue past coffee shops, runners and cyclists on this Saturday morning.
The next section of our walk down Mission is edited, with additional footage from across the rail tracks on Meridian, to take in the South Pasadena Historical Museum and Bistro de la Gare restaurant.
Continuing on Mission, we pass South Pasadena City Hall and some interesting small shops, before arriving at the Fair Oaks Pharmacy at the corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Mission Avenue. This little gem was founded in 1915 and still has the old fashioned soda fountain touches for nostalgia fans.
Speaking of going back in time, the next section of our walk takes us into quiet, tree-lined residential streets with many large and historic homes, including one street used in the filming of "Back to the Future." There are examples of various revival styles, including Tudor and Spanish, but a large percentage of the houses are in the craftsman style. Proceeding south down Marengo Avenue, then east on Oaks Avenue, and finally south on Bushnell Avenue, we see two homes in this style used as the childhood (1955) homes of the characters "Lorraine Baines" (later "McFly") and "George McFly," in the original "Back to the Future" movie.
This is a beautiful sunny day, with magnolias in bloom and other spring flowers to be seen.

Relax and enjoy!
