The Story of Samson - 1599 Geneva Bible

Samson was a judge of Israel before the time of the Kings, before David, before most of the prophets. He had an unbridled sexual appetite, but even through this God accomplished his own cause. Samson is commended as one who lived by his faith in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11.


The Geneva Bible was the Bible of the English Reformation. It was first published in 1560 and was rejected by the English Crown for its seditious-seeming notes in the margin and was thus replaced by the King James Version as the official bible of the English Monarchy.
