Rapido's 2nd release of their popular Dynamometer car has been dogged by bad luck; first an accident upon delivery, followed by a product recall due to faulty electrical components. I take a look at their more unusual livery variation - the post 1949 British Railways version., the livery it sported when used by the Southern Region at the time of Bulleid's "Leader" locomotive trials.
With a style and interior befitting a Jules Verne novel, their new model is certainly - to quote Captain Nemo - "A Masterpiece, containing Masterpieces"!
