Will engineering make you rich? Should you do engineering for the money? Should you become an engineer? how to become rich as an engineer?

Engineering is going to make you rich. Before we answer that question, we have to define what is engineering and what is being rich as being rich means making like a hundred k a year doesn't mean having like a million dollars in the bank. And likewise, when we're talking about engineering, what exactly is it that you're referring to? Are you referring to the engineering degree as a thing that you get and go get a job with? Or are you referring to engineering as a set of skills or a way of seeing the world that you're able to solve problems?

That's going to make a huge difference if you're thinking of whether an engineering degree that you can obtain and go to a company and have them hire you and you work there for a career and you spend your whole life-saving money, that's probably not going to make you rich or at least not rich. Maybe by the time you're in your sixties, it'll make you millionaire rich. It's definitely not going to make you billionaire rich. Getting an engineering degree and going to get a job with it and working that job for the rest of your life is not going to make it all right. On the other hand, engineering is the set of skills, the way of seeing the world, the way of solving problems, the way of acquiring knowledge. I believe doing engineering for the money is okay, as long as you actually like engineering and do not dread it. Engineering skills are good to get started.
