The Creation of Heaven and Earth

In the beginning, there was nothing—no time, no space, no matter. Then, from the void, God spoke: “Let there be light,” and with that divine command, existence began. Light pierced the darkness, and the first day was born.

God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, covered in darkness, with the Spirit of God hovering over the waters. Over six days, God shaped the universe with purpose and order:
