in this video I turn an ash log into an ash bowl using my homemade circle cutting jig, a bandsaw and a lathe.

I use a skew chisel and a 1/2 bowl gouge.

my lathe is at a speed of 1500RPM and I use a beeswax finish after sealing the wood with sanding sealer.
