The annual Flying Legends airshow at Duxford is always a firm favourite of mine. This year saw a lower than usual overseas contingent of aircraft, however, P-51 Mustang 'Berlin Express' made the long journey from Texas to be at the show only to suffer a technical problem on the Saturday. The Classic formation in their two Beech 18's and DC3 made a welcome return from Switzerland as did the Dakota Norway DC3. Good weather ensured excellent aerobatics including the stunning display by 'The Horseman' on the Sunday - a three ship P-51 Mustang team, a must watch.The Battle of Britain flypast saw five Hawker Hurricanes take part - quite a sight to see. Making up the rest of the display items were the usual Duxford favourites put together nicely in various 'scenarios'.
