Tens of thousands of farmers affiliated with over 200 organisations have begun their 'Delhi Chalo' march from Punjab, Haryana and other states, pushing for their demands. There's heavy barricading at the Haryana-Punjab border and entry points to the capital. As over 200 farmer unions join the 'Delhi Chalo' protest, heavy measures have been taken to not allow them to reach Delhi, unlike in 2020. Haryana Police fired tear gas shells as a group of youth, part of the farmers' protest, attempted to breach barricades at the Shambhu border in Ambala. Over 200 farmers' unions, including the Samyukt Kisan Morcha and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, are participating in the march to demand the acceptance of their key demands from the Centre.
