Torekov | Enjoy Life After 50

On our way up to Bohuslän we stayed in Torekov. We were followed by a porpoise, it is not that usual to have them so close to the boat, as they are a bit shy.
Sankta Thora is protecting Torekov and its surroundings. Torekov village is situated on the west coast in the southern part of Sweden. From being a fishing area is now really a tourist destination. It has around 1000 habitants.
The houses are small fishing cottages and old captains houses on cobbled streets. In Torekovs museum of see, you can see nameplates on all ships that has sunked outside in the bay. It is said that all the ships were plundered by the inhabitants in Torekov. In an old ship “Fram of Brantevik” you can go inside to see how the ships looked in those days.
Just outside Torekov you can take a boat to Hallands Väderö. It is known for the many seals that you can see on the island.
In Torekov you will find many nice restaurants and of course ice cream made in Skåne.
The water is clear and invites for many baths.
