OTTER - Tiny Houseboat

OTTER is a 2021 custom-built expedition boat designed for exploring the backwaters of the St. John's River and other protected waterways. Made of Marine Plywood saturated with epoxy and fiber glassed, OTTER is built for strength and for long life with the proven "Stitch and Glue" method.

OTTER is 17'x6' and boasts three twin berths for sleeping with the forward cabin easily converted to a king-sized berth.

Propulsion is a 2021 Suzuki 9.9 four-stroke, fuel-injected outboard with an 11-gallon spun aluminum fuel tank that will keep her going for two days.

With a 2-burner propane stove, a sink with 10gal water with deck fill and a 55qt 7-day Lifetime cooler, meals are left to the imagination.

All windows opening with screens and with exhaust fan that pulls air from the foot of the bed all the way through the cabin. The full-cabin roof deck provides shade and ventilation for the cabin even in the intense Florida sun and the perfect place for evening Sundowners. An under-the-seat porta potty or composing toilet is available and well ventilated. LED lighting and Bluetooth Stereo keep power consumption to a minimum with a 9amp alternator on the motor that keeps the 100amp hr battery fully charged.

OTTER draws about 6" and is capable of exploring places other boats cannot get to.

With a custom trailer, OTTER can be transported to the best cruising grounds and even used as a camper getting to them.
