The Man Who Was 2 Correct Answers Away From $3.2 Million

This video is a new extended version of a video I uploaded on February 13, 2021, entitled: "Dan Avila was Just One Correct Answer Away from Game Show Immortality." This new version includes added footage from the recently re-uploaded Tournament of Losers special, a higher-quality version of the Curtis Warren Million Dollar Moment episode, some minor audio fixes, and a few extended clips from each episode featured.

On November 18, 1999, Dan Avila became the first and only contestant to attempt to answer Greed's final question. Standing alone before the Tower of Greed, the former Jeopardy! champion found himself one correct answer away from $2,200,000. It was more than double the record-setting top prize Who Wants to Be a Millionaire had introduced just three months earlier. This is the story of how Dan got there, as well as the chances he received to make up for the money he originally lost.
