Motorized Camera Slider Comparison | Aluminum vs. Carbon Fiber? (GVM GT-J80D and GP-80QD Review)

Описание к видео Motorized Camera Slider Comparison | Aluminum vs. Carbon Fiber? (GVM GT-J80D and GP-80QD Review)

A motorized camera slider is one of the best pieces of equipment a new filmmaker can buy. They are relatively inexpensive, and one of the simplest ways to increase the production value in your cinematography.

In this video, I'll review the GVM GT-J80D and the GP-80QD motorized camera sliders, and compare their differences to help you decide which one is best for you.

You'll find the same motor on each slider, and they function nearly identically, but there are some differences in size, weight, and repeatability that make each one better under different shooting conditions.

Both sliders have roughly 31" of travel, run off of common Sony NPF batteries, and support both parallax and panorama rotation while shooting. You can adjust the travel speed, turn automatic cycling from A-B points on or off, and even automate timelapse shooting with the included shutter cables.

These are budget motorized camera sliders, so there are some small downsides compared to higher end sliders, but they're worth a look considering that they're less than half the cost.
