President Benigno S. Aquino III and the rest of the Philippine delegation arrived in Paris from a two-day working visit to the European Union and the Kingdom of Belgium.
Philippine Airlines plane with flight PR001 touched down at Orly International Airport at 10:04 AM.
For the start of his official visit in France, the Chief Executive was welcomed by Philippine embassy officials led by Ambassador Ma. Theresa Lazaro and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Andre Estanislao.
French officials led by Ambassador Gilles Garachon also welcomed the President. The French Ambassador to the Philippines was accompanied by the Prefect of Val-de-Marne Thierry Leleu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Office of Protocol representative, Paris Airports Chief of Protocol Jean-Marie Janisson, Orly International Airport Chief of Airport Police Marc Vanaud and Director of Border Police Jean-Bernard Chausse.
