Elements CAL Week 1 - my thoughts and tips
Welcome to a new CAL (crochet along)!

Call me nuts but yes, I've started a new project in the midst of several others. But I don't think I'm the only one who has done this. :)

Although I was sick as a dog making this video, I wanted to show my progress for week 1 before getting started with week 2.

In the video I forget to mention that I ordered the "Fire" color way kit from Hooks and Yarn in Amsterdam.

I'm enjoying this Elements CAL from Hooks and Yarn so much!

In this video I talk about how thankful I am that I did the Sophie's Universe CAL because it taught me a lot of new stitches and techniques that I'm using in this CAL.

Be sure to count your stitches often. This is so important!

I'm loving working with this yarn. It's Stonewashed by Scheepjes.
I'm using a size E hook. At first I thought this would make my work too tight but it seems just right.

If you don't want to go to the expense of ordering the kit then you might consider using Caron Simply Soft. Although I don't always like to use this yarn because it splits, it has a similar weight and the color options are very vibrant.
