GST Crackdown in Jamshedpur: Two Businessmen Arrested for Rs 20 Crore Scam

The GST department in Jamshedpur has taken a significant step in cracking down on tax evasion, arresting two businessmen accused of a Rs 20 crore GST scam. The accused, Kumar Labh Agrawal from Delhi and Gulbahar Malik from Ranchi, allegedly created fake companies in the name of a battery company to carry out the massive scam.

The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) team in Jamshedpur interrogated both businessmen, leading to the revelation of the multi-crore scam. After questioning, the accused were arrested and subsequently sent to jail after undergoing medical tests at MGM Hospital.

According to sources, further investigation may uncover more scams involving these individuals. The GST department's action demonstrates its commitment to tackling tax evasion and ensuring compliance with GST regulations.
