Storm Darragh is bringing strong winds and heavy rain, causing significant disruption to the country today. Some especially strong gusts have been recorded in Wales and southwest England, with conditions continuing throughout the day, gradually easing into Sunday. Heavy and persistent rain will also continue today, with floods possible in certain parts. Temperatures close to the average. There is a red warning for wind out for Wales and southwest England. Amber wind warnings are in effect for Wales, the southwest, the northwest, and Northern Ireland. A yellow wind warning is out for the rest of England, and yellow rain warnings are in effect for northeast England and southwest Scotland.
