Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier on top of our 2023 Kia Sorento. Now this is gonna come in a couple different sizes. The one we have today is gonna be the one that can carry up to four skis for two snowboards. The other size is gonna be a two ski, a three ski, and a six ski, but they're all gonna work the same way. Now this is a really nice option for carrying your skis from point A to point B. Especially since in this Sorento, yeah, you do have a little bit more space to put them back there, but it's definitely not gonna be a comfortable fit.

Especially when you are done using them, they're probably gonna have a lot of snow on them and you don't want that getting inside the vehicle. So let's check them out. So they operate these, you're gonna have these larger buttons, which makes using it much more accessible for you if you have those larger gloves. They can get stuck sometimes, but if you're just gonna work with them a little bit, they'll open right up. And now I can just reach over here and grab my skis.

Now I do have to get pretty close to my vehicle, so you might have to step inside if you are a shorter person, but most cases, you should be able to reach yjem. And with them off, I can go hit the slopes. And you'll notice where they we inchesre sitting, we have this rubber molding. And what that's doing is keeping them in place to prevent them from sliding around and scratching one another up. And to close it, all I have to do is slip down until it clicks into place.

At the very end of it, you'll notice we have this lock core. That's gonna give you extra security so no one can come by and take off your skis. And the way this is gonna attach to your roof or your crossbars is via this clamp. You're gonna have these two platforms which are connected by a security bolt on each side. The security bolt is so no one can come by with a random Allen key and remove them.

Now we can get a few measurements. Let's see how this looks on top. The first measurement I'm gonna get is the overall height, and that's gonna be just about five and a half inches, which isn't too bad. It does stick up a little bit, but if you are looking for something that's gonna save you space, I'd recommend checking out the Kuat Switch Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That has the ability to fold down when you're not hauling skis. But if you're constantly hauling skis, and this is good too. And then we can talk about that distance underneath the crossbar, which is gonna be a little bit under an inch. And that's really important to note because if you have a sunroof on your Kia, then if that expands, that could get pretty close. But since these are so low profile, I wouldn't worry about that too much. And for the ones we have today, they've taken up a little bit less than half of our crossbar. So if you have the larger version that can carry up to six skis, that's gonna take up a little bit more space. But that's really important to note if you wanna load this up with any other gear, like if you had a box or a basket you wanted to put up here to put any of your luggage in too, then you might be kind of tight for space if you have the six ski carrier. For the four one, it's gonna work perfectly fine. But in my opinion, I think there's a really good option if you're just kind of getting more into skiing for the first time. This is more of a of a entry level ski and snowboard carrier. Like I was talking about earlier, if you wanted to step above, I'd recommend the Kuat Switch. But for just starting off, this will do you just fine. Now let's just a look at the Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier on top of our 2023 Kia Sorento. Than
