Pune by-elections: Voting begins for Kasba Peth, Chinchwad Assembly seats

The voting for the by-elections for Pune's two assembly seats Kasba and Pimpri-Chinchwad has begun. The by-elections for the two seats were necessitated due to the deaths of the sitting BJP MLAs the late Mukta S Tilak (Kasbapeth) and the late Laxman P Jagtap (Chinchwad), in December 2022 and January 2023 respectively. A heavy police force has been deployed for security. The results will be declared on March 2.
