Newly released video by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office shows the moments before Ray Wynecoop and Isaac Ott allegedly shot a Spokane police officer in North Spokane.

Ott recorded the video from the passenger seat, after he and Wynecoop allegedly shot at a home on Garland Avenue.

In the beginning, Wynecoop, wearing a black mask, is shown throwing up gang signs.

“I’m going to show you *** **** **** how it’s done,” Wynecoop said in the video. “Hey, this is Spokane police mother ***** hangout *****. Oh, there’s a cop right there, ******. Hold up, watch this, watch this ******.”

Eventually, both Wynecoop and Ott come into view of Spokane Police Officer Kernkamp, and begin chasing her.

Then gunshots, and the video stops.

“They came there to shoot a police officer,” said Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich. “They came there specifically for that reason. ”

Sheriff Knezovich is pleading with the community for help to crack down on violence.

“If they’re willing to come after law enforcement, they’re willing to come after any of you, and that needs to end,” he said. “This is the United States of America. This is not some third-world country. This will not be tolerated.”

Bond is set for Wynecoop and Ott at 2 million dollars each.

They will be arraigned on August 9th.
