We are raising our 3-year old daughter in Japan. I (American mom) speak to her in English and her dad (Japanese) speaks to her in Japanese. She attends a local Japanese day care. She is turning into a little bilingual chatterbox! She switches fluently from both English and Japanese. It's very interesting and I wanted to share this in the hopes that in can encourage other parents who are raising bilingual children out there!

We are an American Japanese family living in Japan. Our videos are mostly in English (as I'm an American mom here in Japan), but you can turn on the YouTube subtitles (closed caption) to enjoy our video in multiple languages!
