The waves crashing against walls, rain and hail pelting the windows and the roll of thunder surrounding you. Not knowing when and if the weather will yield. Surely it would take a mental toll on a person. It seems that some would break under these conditions and others wouldn't. Those that broke, perhaps, would never leave. Such a place we're discussing today is the Seguin island lighthouse, located in Maine.

Seguin Light is a lighthouse on Seguin Island, in the Gulf of Maine south of the mouth of the Kennebec River, Maine. Established in 1795, it is the second-oldest of Maine's coastal lighthouses, and the only lighthouse in the state housing a first-order Fresnel lens.
