Character actors were a very pivotal part of Bollywood since the very beginning. Character actors are the ones who specialize in playing eccentric roles in movies. Bollywood has many iconic character-actors we have seen in almost every movie that released in during the 80’s- 90’s.

That one familiar face in every movie. The familiar faces were usually underrated but their presence was felt in every movie. Here are some of the character actors who made movies even more special with their presence.
1.Deven Verma-
Deven Verma was an Indian film and television actor, particularly known for his comic roles, with Bollywood directors like Basu Chatterji, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Gulzar. He also produced and directed films, including Besharam
2.Satyen Kappu-
Satyen Kappu, also credited as Satyen Kappoo, was an Indian character actor in Bollywood films. He has acted in 390 films. His most remembered role is Ramlal in the movie Sholay and as Amitabh Bachchan's father in Yash Chopra's Deewaar.
3.Viju Khote-
Viju Khote is an Indian actor who is known for his work in more than 300 films in Hindi and Marathi cinema. He is famous as the dacoit Kalia in the film Sholay and the dialogue, "Sardar maine aapka namak khaya hai" and Robert in movie Andaz Apna Apna with the dialogue "galti se mistake hogaya"
4.Yunus Parvez-
Yunus Parvez was a Bollywood character actor who played supporting roles in over 200 films from the late 1960s to the 2000s. He is best known for his roles in films like Garm Hava, Deewaar, Trishul and Mr. India. His last film role was in Shaad Ali's hit film Bunty Aur Babli.
5.Rakesh Bedi-
Rakesh Bedi is an Indian film, stage and television actor. He is most known for his comedy roles in films such as mera damaad 1995 as Ravi, Chashme Buddoor, the television series, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Shrimaan Shrimati and Yes Boss.
