In this video, The Lallantop’s Kuldeep Mishra explained the expectations of some experts for the Indian textile industry due to the crisis in Bangladesh. Since 5th August when Bangladesh ex-PM Shiekh Hasina fled from the country, the Indian stock market reacted differently. The stocks of the textile brands rose by 20%. This was due to the expectation that the demand for Bangladeshi textile products may shift to India. On the other hand, The Indian Express reported that the Bangladesh Textiles Manufacturers and Exporters Association has advised the factory owners to close the units indefinitely.
