We want to live in a world full of potential, not polarity: book clubs help us build the empathy that allows us to see the best in all the characters around us. Rachel Barbe is a 22 year Jeffco educator with a passion to help students become empathetic, open-minded critical thinkers and problem solvers in a world that is increasingly divided. For the past four years, she has been facilitating TED-style Talks in her ACC concurrent enrollment Composition course at Chatfield Senior High; these talks have been a highlight of her tenure, showcasing students' creativity and passion.
