FUNdamentals of LabVIEW for FRC - Episode 1

Описание к видео FUNdamentals of LabVIEW for FRC - Episode 1

FUNdamentals of LabVIEW is a 4-part series hosted by FIRST Updates Now (FUN) on Twitch. It covers everything from the very basics of using NI LabVIEW to advanced vision processing on the NI roboRIO for FIRST Robotics Competition.

NI LabVIEW is a professional systems engineering software for applications that require test, measurement, and control with rapid access to hardware and data insights. It is used widely across nearly all engineering industries by companies like NASA, Ford, CERN, MIT, Boeing, and Bose!

As a major part of National Instruments' mission to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers and scientists, NI partners with FIRST to provide free access to LabVIEW for students and mentors in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

In this episode, NI's April Riddett starts from the beginning and walks you through how to get your LabVIEW code up and running on your robot! Starting with downloading & installing FRC software, April covers all the basics of the LabVIEW programming environment, the default robot project, adding and modifying robot code, and using the dozens of built-in examples to program your robot and test its individual functions.

By the end of this video, even a rookie FRC students who has never used LabVIEW will be able to get your robot up and running! You'll know how to customize the default robot project for your robot, deploy code to the robot, and do some basic debugging, all using LabVIEW.
