NESGUIDE PLAYER NOTE (P1: Crow)

Captain America and the Avengers was one of those games that might strain the memory a little bit until the gameplay is described; where Captain America can knock items out of the pill things throwing his shield which comes back to him - Hawkeye isn't as strong but can shoot arrows diagonally or straight up in addition to left or right. If either hero gets captured, the other can come to rescue him. Once they are together, the player is free to swap them in and out of play as needed.

I feel like everyone had access to this game at one time or another back in the day. I don't think everyone owned it, but everyone knew someone who owned it. It's actually a pretty solid game. The controls respond appropriately enough with Hawkeye's arrows, for example, to pinpoint targets. It's probably one of the stronger titles overall in Data East's NES catalog.
