Immunotherapy for cancer treatment - Work being done by MPP improve access to cancer therapy

A class of immunotherapy being used to treat cancer called Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors is being made available around the world through the work of the Medicines Patent Pool. This approach has led to significant improvements in survival rates for various cancers, including melanoma, lung cancer, and renal cell carcinoma.
