About General Levy:
General Levy is a true veteran of the British urban scene, he grew up under the influence of reggae and black music. It’s early on that he started writing and tried out singing. Even though he was influenced by the Fast Style Culture, he rapidly produced his own musical universe.

It’s solo and at 19 that he got worldwide recognition since he won several awards (Best Reggae Album, « Heat » Best Single and Best MC). His title « Incredible », becomes an international success, at the top 10 of the Reggae charts and will appear and several movies like « Ali G Indahouse » and « Seuls Two ».

From the Garance Reggae Festival to Summerjam , with the Chiemsee or the Realbeat Reggae Fest, everyone was blown away by this out of this world performer.
General levy composed the album « We Progressive » in a particular way. For the first time, he chose to surround himself with many musicians in order to produce an electric and complete piece. He called in French group Papa Style et Bladas, a genius multi instrumental duo. As an addition to these « Riddims Maker », producer and dj Gloom for the Artistic Execution. Lastly Mayra, French-Brazilian singer from the duo Mayra & Mr Mow, will bring her soft touch to the album.

Through this new piece, we can appreciate the ease and fluidity of the vocals on diverse and conceptual compositions.

In fact, the album goes back and forth between Reggae and different other sounds and influences like funk and hip hop with the titles « Blow » and « The Love We Got », a subtle mix of rock and ragga with « Flipping and Flapping » or even some Latino with « Bomba Rumba »! But General Levy doesn’t forget his roots and gifts us with his wonderful acoustic track called « Friend in Need ».

The participation of French artists and producers shows the vivacity of the hexagonal scene and its glow worldwide. It’s with the label X-Ray Production that General Levy chose to work. He also has featurings with Balik, the charismatic singer of the group Danakil, Big Red, Daddy Morry’s acolyte in Raggasonic!

He is a crossover artist, both underground and mainstream, he delivers an innovative project!
